COVID-19 Update
Bethesda UMC Worship & Gatherings
We are happy to offer safe in-person worship services again! Each week, our Relaunch Team assesses the infection rate and percent positivity of West Virginia and Cabell County as provided by the WV Dept. of Health & Human Resources. Based on those figures, our church will operate under one of four categories (see below).
We are taking all the necessary precautions to ensure your safety, including:
- Seating and flow charts highlighting where you may safely sit.
- Masks required at all times while indoors.
- Shortened service time.
- No congregational singing.
- Structured plan for entering and exiting sanctuary.
- Sanitation supplies at each seating area.
- Encouragement to remain seated during entire service.
- No Passing of the Peace.
Each Saturday, we will communicate with the congregation via our automated call and text system to inform you of our operating phase for the upcoming week. We appreciate your prayers, patience and continued discipleship during these uncertain times. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Bethesda Preschool
Bethesda Preschool intends to have class in a traditional format with increased safety precautions. Though space is limited, they are still accepting applications for the 2021-2022 school year. Click here for more information on Bethesda Preschool.
Though our preschool is not public school, we do our best to abide by the recommendations and guidelines of the West Virginia Board of Education. Bethesda Preschool is taking extra steps this school year to separate students and ensure the healthy and safety of all involved. For more information, we invite you to contact us.
